Fastener industry actively remove the "low-end" label

"Fasteners in the market, also known as standard parts, is the general term for a class of mechanical parts used when two or more parts (or components) are fastened and connected as a whole. It is widely used in all kinds of machinery, equipment, vehicles, ships, railways, bridges, buildings, structures, molds, instruments, meters and supplies, etc." Luo Baihui, secretary-general of the International Model Association, said that with the development of my country's manufacturing industry, fasteners, as one of my country's larger import and export products, have achieved international standards, and are of great practical and strategic significance in promoting Chinese fastener companies to the world and promoting fasteners. The full participation of enterprises in international cooperation and competition has important practical and strategic significance. Due to the specifications, dimensions, tolerances, weight, performance, surface conditions, marking methods, and acceptance inspection, marking and packaging of each specific fastener product, it is specified in several national (industry) standards, such as English, German and American.

The mechanical industry is one of the main users of fasteners. Due to China's late understanding of the important position of mechanical basic parts in the machinery industry and long-term lack of investment, the entire industry has a poor foundation, weak foundation and weak strength. Especially with the improvement of the level of China's host, the bottleneck phenomenon of mechanical basic parts lagging behind the host is increasingly apparent. In recent years, although the state has given certain support in the aspects of technology introduction, technological transformation, scientific research and development, there is still a big gap compared with the current market demand and foreign level. The specific manifestations are: less product varieties, low level, unstable quality, high early failure rate and poor reliability.

As the main basic products of the machinery industry, the development of the machinery industry also puts forward higher requirements for fastener products. Luo Baihui believes that the current domestic common standard fasteners have been in oversupply, while high-grade fasteners (high temperature, special-shaped, titanium-plastic composite, special performance and other fasteners) are in short supply and rely on imports. The State Administration of Machinery has listed "ordinary standard fasteners" as restricted development products, and "high-strength special-shaped fasteners" as currently encouraged development products. With the improvement of national industrialization level and technological progress, the use of high-strength fasteners has gradually increased.

It is understood that during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, the number of construction machinery products such as loaders, excavators, and road rollers will reach 6 million units, and the annual sales volume will be about 50000 units. Based on this estimate, the annual demand for high-strength fasteners is about 20000~30000 tons. The basic parts represented by fasteners are not only the basic industry of China's equipment manufacturing industry, but also the important foundation of various fields of national economic construction. During the 12th Five-Year Plan period, while maintaining part of the cost advantage, the industry must rely on new advantages such as technological progress, quality improvement and product cost performance to achieve sustainable development. It is estimated that the total output of the whole industry will reach 7.5 million -8 million tons by the end of 2015. Under the overall situation of expanding exports, export products will show a fluctuating growth trend. It is estimated that the annual average export growth rate during the 12th Five-Year Plan period will be 8%-10%, and the total export volume of the whole industry will reach 30 billion billion yuan by 2015.

Industry experts said that domestic fastener companies of all sizes should look to the future. National key construction projects such as "high-speed rail", "aerospace", "highway" and "airport" are providing opportunities for tight enterprises to move towards high-end. Boeing plans to add 3400 new planes in the next 20 years and the National Development and Reform Commission has invested 800 billion yuan to build rail transit in 6 cities. According to the plan for 36 cities to build urban rail transit projects, by 2020, the new operating mileage of urban rail transit will reach 6560 kilometers, and the demand for rail fasteners will reach 55-7 billion yuan. These large-scale projects will greatly increase the demand for high-strength fasteners, titanium alloys and other high-end fasteners, and it is not impossible to remove the "low-end" label.
