Commonly used decorative tube sheets are martensitic stainless steel. 304 raw materials are generally non-magnetic or weakly magnetic, but different types of electromagnetic characteristics caused by fluctuations in composition may also occur in smelters or production and processing, but this cannot be called counterfeiting or failure. What are the reasons for stainless steel screw manufacturers to tell you?
As mentioned above, martensite is non-magnetic or weakly magnetic, whereas austenitic or ferritic steels are magnetic. Because of the shrinkage or improper heat treatment process in the smelter link, a little Austenite or gold-phase tissue can be produced in the martensitic 304 stainless steel. In that way, 304 stainless steel will have a relatively weak electromagnetic field.
In addition, 304 stainless steel will be transformed into austenite after cold drawing. The more cold drawing deformation, the more martensitic transformation, the more magnetic steel. Like a batch of strip steel, 76 tubes are produced without obvious magnetic induction, and 9.5 tubes are produced. Because the cold drawing deformation of the magnetic sense is relatively large, the manufacturer rectangular square tube is larger than the round steel pipe, especially the angle iron cross section. It looks more intense, more magnetic.
In order to solve the magnetic properties of 304 steel caused by the above reasons, according to the continuous high temperature aging treatment, stable martensite can be restored and magnetic properties can be removed. In particular, the magnetic properties of 304 stainless steel caused by the above reasons are different from those of other materials (such as 430 steel and carbon steel). In other words, the magnetic properties of 304 steel have always shown weak magnetic properties.
